Driving along 13th Avenue rocking out to the radio when some mind-blowing voices singing an absolutely spectacular song come on. While trying to figure out who they are the realization that it is One Direction hits. It was not recognizable at first because the song playing is from their breathtaking new album “Take Me Home.”
One Direction released their new album “Take Me Home” Nov. 13 and it is definitely different from their first album “Up All Night,” but not in an unpleasant way. This new album is unlike their first in the way that it is a little more upbeat. “Take Me Home” has some spectacular songs that are fun to dance and sing to.
“Little Things” is a slower song by One Direction, but it is worth listening to. The lyrics are so sweet because the boys say the features they like in a girl, and tell you that those “Little Things” are what make you, you.
In “Last First Kiss,” the lyrics are great and the beat has me taping along to it. The boys in One Direction voices all mix well. This song makes you think of a scene in a movie where the boy spills his feelings to the girl.
“Heart Attack” is one of the more unusual songs on the album. It has a weird high pitched sound that sounds slightly girly. The Lyrics of this song are really relatable for someone after a breakup. Although it is different from other songs by One Direction “Heart Attack” really grows on you and starts to be listened to countless times.
“Rock Me” makes you want to stomp your feet and clap along with the beat. This song is seriously awesome; it’s a great addition to the album. The lyrics are a little weird but the beat is great. It gets stuck in your head and you cannot help but sing along to it. Honestly, this is my favorite song on the album.
“Change My Mind” Dose not fit with this album at all. It is way slower than most of the songs on “Take Me Home” and you could not dance to it very well. This song should have been saved for a separate album because it takes away from the rest of “Take Me Home.”
“I Would” gets stuck in your head instantly. As soon as I hear this song I have to sing and dance along to it. It sounds like a typical boy band song because it is upbeat and reminds me of The Backstreet Boys. This song is the boys singing about how they would treat someone that they’re dating. People who are crushing on someone could relate to this song.
“Take Me Home” is definitely worth listening to. All the “Little Things” on this album add up to some terrific songs. “I Would” listen to this album all day if I could. Don’t have a “Heart Attack” listening to this album, but we can “Live While We’re Young” and sing along to these songs.
