America’s economy is doing fine. The $16 trillion deficit, and high unemployment rate does not bother me, but Mitt Romney wants to change all of this. Under Obama’s policies America’s economy has remained stagnant, but Mitt Romney wants to change that. He thinks that we need to “balance government spending” and “balance the budget.” We need to just leave the economy as is, or even better increase the deficit.
First off, Romney plans to get rid of Obamacare and place the states in charge of their own health care programs, and eliminate $500 billion in cuts to medicare, and get rid of $500 billion in new taxes. I don’t know about you, but I love all of the mid-April tax days I spend with my family, sitting around the fire drinking cocoa and filing tax returns.
Romney also plans to remove many of the regulations that Obama has put on small businesses. He plans to allow these “job creators” free reign to create jobs for the American people, but what about the small children working in sweatshops in Vietnam making your shoes? They need jobs too. Under Obama we will continue to outsource these jobs to poor, needy children.
Obama is leading this country down the right track when it comes to taxes. He has raised the individual tax 20 percent and the corporate tax by 25 percent, but Mitt Romney plans to lower these taxes. What else is Romney going to do, make America energy independent?
Now, some people argue that Obama has not done enough in his time as President, but that does not matter. When Obama entered office the unemployment rate stood at 7.8 percent, and the most recent report had the unemployment rate at 7.8 percent. If anything Obama has been the most consistent President of all time, and Mitt Romney only wants to change that.
It is the obvious choice to elect Obama. The President has made sure that our country did not recover too much. He kept the deficit climbing, and the unemployment rate high. He made sure the simple joy I have every time the debt clock turns over another $100 billion never stopped.
If Mitt Romney became President, everyone would have to work hard again, and I wouldn’t get to feel special about doing what is expected of me. If we elect Mitt Romney the economy will get back on its feet and people will begin to find jobs again, and nobody wants that.
