“Exprimere” staff hosts launch party for publication debut

West Fargo’s first literary magazine Exprimere hosted their launch party at the Red Raven Espresso Parlor on May 15. Students, staff and community members came out to support the publication. The night began with words of thanks for local businesses which contributed to the publication’s success and performances by students followed. Senior Jaeden Schaan performed multiple original compositions including his song Young, which was published in the magazine. Senior Jessica Qian performed a mashup of songs and guitar teacher Mark Berntson also performed on the guitar. Following readings of prose and poetry from the literary publication an open mic session closed the event. The Exprimere staff was able to sell over 90 copies of the magazine. A limited amount of copies are still available for purchase for $5.
